Obituary for Rev. Thomas D. Tuft

Rev. Thomas D. Tuft, 99, of Franciscan Manor-Beaver County, passed away Thursday December 21, 2017.
Born October 15, 1918 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Jenny Tuft.
Rev. Tuft retired from Broadway United Presbyterian Church in East McKeesport and was a US Navy veteran having served in WWII.
He was a graduate of George Washington University and the Pittsburgh Xenia Theological College.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irena (Lawson) Tuft in 2011, a daughter, Susan Tuft, and a brother Russell Tuft.
Surviving are four sons, Alan Tuft, Paul (Sonata) Tuft, John Tuft and Dan Tuft and Charlie Groth; two daughters, Nancy Kuz, and Janice Tuft; 16 grandchildren, and many loving great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday December 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm in Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, Pa. 15001.
Family and friends will gather Thursday December 28, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2720 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors at 8:45, followed by a funeral service at 9am, with S. Michael Marinkovic, Jr., officiating.
Private interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery-Hopewell Twp.
