Obituary for Mary A. Roma

Mary A. Roma, at age 96, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at St. John Specialty Care Center, in Mars. Prior to her moving to the center in 2009, Mary was a lifelong resident of Aliquippa.
Mary was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa, and the Queen of Columbus.
The only daughter of the late Dominick and Rosaria (Ranalli) Roma, Mary was born September 2, 1921. Following her mother’s death, Mary became the devoted caretaker of her father until his death in 1971. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers and their spouses, Orlando “Stump” (Anna) Roma, Angelo (Matilda) Roma, and Antonio “Pistol” (Elizabeth) Roma, and two nephews, James Roma, and Dr. Robert Roma.
Mary was an avid craftswoman, especially skilled in needlepoint and crocheting. Friends and relatives alike could always expect something special from her wide array of handiwork.
Mary was the most loving and attentive aunt to three generations of Roma children. She took great delight in their visits, enjoyed listening to their stories, and always looked forward to being a part of their celebrations and festivities.
Mary will always be remembered for her sweet-tempered disposition and her whimsical humor She is survived by, and will be deeply missed by her beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. in TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa. AP. 15001,where a service will be held Thursday at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am, in St. Titus Catholic Church-Aliquippa, with Fr. Bob Miller, officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff at St. John Specialty Care Center-Creekside Path, for all their kindness and loving care.
