Obituary for Joseph "Weiners" Zoitti

Joe “Weiners” Zoiti, 86, of Hopewell Twp., passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Villa St. Joseph.
Born April 1, 1931 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Antonio and Carmella (Silipigni) Zoiti. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Joe was a lifelong member of the Rochester SOI a member of the Aliquippa Elks, and past Post Commander of the Rochester Twp. VFW. He was a union steward and contract negotiator for OCAW Local 8-74. He was a lifetime Beaver County area football fan and attended the “game of the week” every Friday night. On Saturday mornings you could find him at George’s Family Restaurant with the rest of the Breakfast Club. Joe will be remembered for his bright smile, loving heart and easy-going personality. He was always ready to sell you a ticket.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annette (Montini) Zoiti; his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Crystal Zoiti of Canton, IL; his daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia Jo and Tony Guy of Hopewell Twp.; his grandchildren, Cody (Courtney) Zoiti, Sean Zoiti, Logan Zoiti and Marissa Jo (Zack) Hayward; his great-grandchildren, Eli Zoiti and Baby Hayward who is due on his birthday; his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Ron “Lefty” Dionisio of Baden; his brother-in-law, Michael (Clara) Montini of Center Twp.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Zoiti, Nancy Bozza, Helen Zoiti and his twin sister, Rosemary Lulevitch; and two brothers-in-law, Vince Bozza and Louis Montini.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6pm-8pm and Thursday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Tatalovich Funeral Home & Cremation Services-2205 McMinn St. Aliquippa where prayers will be held on Friday at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Aliquippa. Father Howard Campbell will officiate.
Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery at 11:15am to perform full military honors.
The Zoiti family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Timothy Jackson and staff, Aspire home health care nurse Lindsay, and all the nurses and aides in the Baden neighborhood at Villa St. Joseph for their exceptional care of Joe.
Joe finally got “the call”.
